meet your therapist
Melissa Rolfes, LPC
psychotherapy that feels like a breath of fresh air
Everyone deserves a life that feels aligned and manageable.
My goal is to help you untangle the challenges that keep you stuck so you can move forward with more clarity and confidence, experiencing healing and greater self-understanding.
While I am an expert in my field…
I truly believe you are the expert on your life.
I see therapy as a collaborative process - one where you feel heard, valued, and empowered to make meaningful changes.
I have a deep respect for your unique experiences, and will not treat you as just a set of symptoms.
I strive to create a supportive, non-judgmental space where you can show up fully as yourself and explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences in a transformative way.
If you’re ready to take the first step, I’d love to hear from you and discuss your options. I hope to be able to work with you!
deepening my practice
In addition to having extensive training in somatic work, I also enjoy keeping up with my mandatory continuing education by choosing topics that I am passionate about and interested in. Here are some of my favorite trainings I’ve completed, that have greatly enhanced my quality as a clinician:
Being Neurodivergent in a Neurotypical World
Tarot and Therapy: Intuition and Metaphor
Psychedelics and Non-Ordinary States
Neuroscience and Neurobiology Basics for Therapists
ACT for Eating and Body Image Concerns
IFS Master Class with Richard Schwartz
3-Day Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Certification Training
Treating Adult Clients of Emotionally Immature Parents
Demystifying Personality Disorders
The Narcissism Spectrum: Myths vs. Reality
The Ethics of a Digital Practice

when I’m not working…
I enjoy getting lost in a book, caring for my many plants, exploring creative writing, making art, and hosting friends for good food and conversation. I love spending time in nature, whether walking, kayaking, or riding my bike. I am a life-long learner and impossibly curious, with many interests ranging from neuroscience to astrology. But my heart is most full when I am spending time with my partner, his two sons, and our beloved fur babies, Chloe and Stormi.
beyond the therapy room
A central part of my work is helping people understand how stress shows up in the body and how to regulate their nervous systems. That passion led me to pursue training in yoga and auricular acupuncture outside of my psychotherapy practice.
Through a separate business, I offer a gentle online yoga class focused on grounding and slow, accessible movement. It’s open to anyone and not connected to my psychotherapy services. You can learn more about my online yoga classes here.
